Founded in 1963, the University of Central Florida is a public institution of higher learning in Orlando. The Center for Distributed Learning at UCF also offers the Complete Florida Programs, offering online degree programs for adults who earned some college credit, but never earned their degree. Offering over 50 online accelerated certificate and degree programs, students can earn their degree through UCF or any of the other eleven state and private institutions of higher learning in Florida.

The Florida Institute of Technology was founded in 1958 in Melbourne, Florida. A private research institution, the university is rooted in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM). With a 130 acre campus located 50 miles from the Kennedy space center and 75 miles from Orlando, Florida, the university offers courses on- campus and online through its Florida Tech University Online program.

Saint Leo’s Criminal Justice Masters program is headed by Dr. Robert J. Diemer. With roughly 30 years of experience, Diemer has earned himself a reputation in Florida and at the Federal level, for his investigative skills and knowledge of the field. Throughout his career, he has served as a Deputy Sheriff, with the Florida Sheriff’s Association Statewide Task Force, and Chief Investigations for the Florida Department of Environmental Protections Division of Law Enforcement. Students in this course will work with Diemer and other experts in the field to explore legal and ethical issues surrounding criminal justice administration, public policy making, offender treatment methodology, hostage negations, personell law, and other major criminal justice trends.

M.B.A. students can take up to two courses every term, with six terms per year. Students can take up to five years to complete their degree. The M.B.A. programs also have an accelerated one year track. This applies to all M.B.A. fields.

The University of Southern Florida is one of the largest institutions of higher learning in the nation. Founded in 1956, the university is a major research university is known for its innovative approach, small class sizes, and community engagement. The university offers over 80 undergraduate majors and over 100 graduate degree programs, with numerous programs offered online.

The undergraduate degree programs at the University of South Florida are partially online. The degree programs are degree completion programs, meaning only the upper division courses can be completed online.

A leader in online education, USF’s M.B.A. program is the top Business program in the state and ranks #16 in the nation. The Public Health program ranks #16, Criminology ranks #22, Nursing ranks #38, and Industrial and Manufacturing Engineering ranks #45 in the nation.

The Master’s in Global Sustainability program offers four concentrations: Tourism, Water, Energy, and Entrepreneurship. Students wanting to focus on Entrepreneurship will be required to pursue a dual degree. This will allow students to earn two master’s degrees simultaneously, taking about 3 years and requiring students to take a total of 51 credit hours. In this dual degree program, students will focus on green technology, energy, transport, development, and sustainable enterprise.

96% of new students receive financial aid in the form of grants, with grant amounts averaging $7,724. 45% of new students receive financial aid in the form of student loans, with student loans averaging $7,160. The university has a student retention rate of 89%, with 36% of students graduating within a four year period and 63% of students graduated within a six year period.
