University of Alaska Anchorage

The University of Alaska, Anchorage is the largest university in the state. Offering fully online degree programs and blended degree programs, students have the option of completing half the course online and the other half of the course in person, through lectures, class settings, and through in-person exams. All online courses vary in terms of pace and required deadlines. Most programs have bi-weekly deadline for all assignments, essays, and exams. Iḷisaġvik College

The only accredited Alaska Native institution of higher learning in the state, Iḷisaġvik College is located in the Arctic Slope. Offering two- year Associate degrees and a variety of certification programs, the college offers on-campus and online learning options. The only tribal college in Alaska, the college is catered to the needs of the residents of rural Alaska, as well as to the needs of the workforce.

Founded in 1996, Iḷisaġvik College serves the Inupiat people and the North Slope Borough. The college provides a customized educational experience to meet students’ needs.
